Cobb County Board of Commissioners
Tim Lee is the District 3 Commissioner serving northeast Cobb. Serving in his second term, Commissioner Lee took office mid November 2002. Commissioner Lee has completed advanced training offered by the University of Georgia and the Association of County Commissioners of Georgia. In order to obtain his Advance Certification, Commissioner Lee completed courses ranging from financial management and government ethics to effective policy making. As Commissioner, Mr. Lee is responsible for the Communications Department, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department and is the Board appointment to the Cobb County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Commissioner Lee is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce’s 2004 Leadership Cobb Class and Honorary Commanders program. He also graduated from the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute in 2004. Mr. Lee serves on the board of the North Georgia State Fair, MUST Ministries and is Past Chairman and current Board member of the Cobb Symphony Orchestra. He serves the Association of County Commissioners’ of Georgia (ACCG) as their appointment to The Advisory Board of The North Central Georgia Law Enforcement Academy. Prior to being elected to office, Mr. Lee served as vice-president of the Northeast Cobb Homeowners Group and headed that organization in 2000. He also served as a director of the East Cobb Civic Association, a board member of the Cobb County Civic Coalition and was past president of his neighborhood homeowner’s association for ten years. In 2002, Lee was appointed as the District 13 citizen member to the Board of the Atlanta Regional Commission and served on the Environmental and Land Use Committee. Lee has worked more than 30 years in advertising and marketing, and has his own marketing consulting firm, Summit View Marketing, Inc. He is a member of the Marietta Kiwanis Club and attends Marietta First United Methodist Church. Lee and his wife, Annette, have been married 19 years, with three children and five grandchildren. |
