About Cobb County International Airport
Originally opened in 1960, the Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field is owned by the Cobb County Government and operated by the Cobb County Department of Transportation. It is designated as a general aviation reliever airport for Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. Located only 20 miles northwest of Atlanta’s business district, it is convenient to most business and tourist destinations in the region. The Airport offers first-class service to a range of aircraft through its full-service FBO. Pilots will find the longest general aviation runway in Metro Atlanta measuring in at 6,295' long. It also boasts an Instrument Landing System and High-Intensity Runway Lights to assist in locating the runway in marginal weather conditions.

Notice: Transient Landing Fee Program
The Cobb County Board of Commissioners approved implementing a new Transient Aircraft Landing Fee starting January 1, 2022. The fee structure is outlined below.
- ALL BASED AIRCRAFT - Exempt
- Transient Aircraft Up to 6,000 lbs. (0600 -2059 hrs.) - Exempt
- Transient Aircraft Up to 6,000 lbs. (2100 -0559 hrs.) - $10
- Transient Aircraft Greater than 6,000 lbs. (24 hrs.) - $2 per 1,000 lbs
- Military, Federal Government, and State Government Aircraft - Exempt

International Customs Information
"Landing Rights Airport"
The Cobb County International Airport (KRYY) is designated as a “landing rights airport”. Pilots must secure permission to land by contacting CBP prior to departure from the foreign airport and at least 24 hours in advance of the anticipated arrival time at KRYY. Permission to land is granted with a tolerance of (+/-) 30 minutes. If your ETA deviates outside these parameters, previously granted permission(s) are invalid and you must contact the CBP port to re-secure permission to land.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal for Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field
Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field, owned and operated by Cobb County, hereby gives notice and announces a proposed overall goal for its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program for federal fiscal years (FFY) 2024-2026. The proposed overall DBE goal is 7.58% for all Airport Improvement Program (AIP)-funded projects in FFY 2024-2026. The methodology used in developing this goal is available for inspection during normal business hours at the administrative office of the Airport Director, Cobb County International Airport-McCollum Field, 1723 McCollum Parkway, Kennesaw, GA 30144. The County will receive and consider public comments on the proposed goal until October 19, 2023. Comments may be submitted to the Airport at the above address, or to Steven.Spencer@cobbcounty.org.

The purpose of the Board is to act only in an advisory capacity and to assist the BOC by advising the BOC on subjects within the scope of the Board’s responsibilities.

Airport Master Plan
The Airport Strategic Planning Board continues to review information on the Airport Master Plan Update. The Airport Board will advise the County on an appropriate plan for the future development of the airport. The Master Plan Update includes identifying needs over the next 20 years, evaluating potential development options, and identifying airfield improvements needed to meet FAA development/safety standards. Comments are welcome to airport@cobbcounty.org.
