ROAD CLOSURES

Chimney Swift Cir (Wood Thrush Way to Pine Warbler Way) - Cobb DOT Contractors have Chimney Swift Circle closed from 2278 Chimney Swift Circle to 2284 Chimney Swift Circle for an emergency Drainage Project. Follow Posted Detour.
 

LANE CLOSURES

Barnes Mill Road (Bonnie Dell Drive to Wallace Road) - Cobb-Marietta Water Authority crews are working on completing the Blackjack Mountain Project. The contractor has been working on preparing for the Jack and Bore installation underneath Sope Creek at the intersection of Wallace Road and Barnes Mill Road.  The receiving pit is excavated to required grade on the west side of the intersection, while the boring pit near the Creek will require additional excavation to reach appropriate grade.  The contractor will be in various locations along the installed pipeline from Indian Hills Parkway to Barnes Mill Road working on remaining punch list and restoration work for the project over the next few weeks.

Canton Road at Shallowford/Highland Terr. - Daily lane closures are possible from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday, near the Canton Road intersection with Shallowford Road and Highland Terrace as crews work to complete the punch list items for the project (X2304 & X2602). Expected completion: September 2023.

Davis Road (Williams Road to Shallowford Road) - Daily lane closures are possible from 9 a.m. -  4 p.m., Monday - Friday, along Davis Road from Williams Road to Shallowford Road as crews work to complete the Davis Road sidewalk project (X2752)—expected completion: October 2023. Shaw Road (Piedmont Road to Woodrush Drive) - Daily lane closures are possible from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday, along Shaw Road from Piedmont Road. to Woodrush Drive as crews work to to complete the punch list items for Shaw Road sidewalk project (X2751). Expected completion: September 2023.

South Barrett Reliever (Phase 3) - The South Barrett Reliever, Phase 3 consists of the extension and widening of Shiloh Valley/Greers Chapel Drive across I-75 and connecting into the existing Roberts Court with a new roundabout east of I-75. The project includes widening and realigning Shiloh Valley Drive, Greers Chapel Drive, and Roberts Court to create four-lane roadways with raised medians, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and bike lanes north to its intersection with Ernest Barrett Parkway. Also included is the construction of a bridge with no interstate access over I-75. The project is approximately 0.89 miles in length. Lane Closures are possible between 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Shiloh Valley Drive, Greers Chapel Drive, Roberts Court, and I-75. The expected Completion is Fall 2024. SR5/Canton Road Conn. at I-75 - Lane closures are possible along Canton Road Connector from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m., Monday - Sunday, related to the I-75 bridge rehab project (M006029). I-75 lane closures are also in effect from 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. Expected completion: October 2023. For more information, please call 404-631-1023.
