COBB COUNTY 2020 COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT & FAIR HOUSING SURVEY
The Cobb County CDBG Program Office is in the beginning planning stages of preparing Cobb’s 2020 Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice, the Cobb County Five-year (2021-2025) Consolidated Plan, and 2021 Annual Action Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under federal regulations. The Analysis of Impediments will identify barriers to equal access to housing and propose strategies to overcome those impediments. The Consolidated Plan identifies community needs and provides a five-year strategy for how HUD grant funds will be used to develop community resources that address those needs while the Annual Action Plan will address specific needs during the 2021 program year.
A kickoff meeting is planned for Monday, February 3, 2020 at Zion Keepers, 324 Victory Drive, SE, Marietta, GA 30060 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A total of seven (7) additional meetings will be held to obtain public input for community development and fair housing needs in Cobb during the month of February. More information, including additional meeting locations can be found in the flyer.
