A Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. to receive comments on the appropriation of interest income from the United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG) for Fiscal Year 2021.

Cobb County’s 2021 JAG program has accumulated a total of $3,202.87 in interest income.  JAG funds and any subsequent interest earned are considered program income and can only be allocated to subrecipients funded during the 2021 grant year.

Per JAG requirements, all 2021 grant funds and interest income must be expended by September 30, 2024 to close out the grant.  A 30-day Public Comment Period: Wednesday, August 7, 2024 through Monday, September 9, 2024.    All comments regarding this Public Notice should be directed to the Cobb County CDBG Program Office at (770) 528-1455 or via email at publiccomments@cobbcountycdbg.com. 

The proposed funding recommendation will be included on the Tuesday, September 10, 2024 Board of Commissioners' Agenda.
