Cobb Solicitor General Makia Metzger’s Office Attorneys Sworn into Georgia Supreme Court Bar
Marietta, GA – Attorneys from the Cobb County Solicitor General Makia Metzger’s Office received the honor of a lifetime on June 5, 2024, when they were sworn into the Georgia Supreme Court Bar. The prestigious event marks a significant milestone in their legal careers, allowing them to practice before the highest court in the state of Georgia.
“I’m humbled and honored to lead such an outstanding office of prosecutors who are now certified to conduct oral arguments before the Supreme Court of Georgia,” Solicitor General Metzger said. “This achievement underscores their expertise, professionalism, and the trust placed in them to contribute to the legal profession at the highest level.
The ceremony at the Nathan Deal’s Judicial Center of the Georgia Supreme Court recognized their dedication and commitment to upholding justice and serving the community. Being admitted to the Supreme Court Bar enables these attorneys to represent the State in the most complex and high-stakes cases, further enhancing their ability to advocate effectively.
The Georgia Supreme Court attorney roles represent a 170-year-plus commitment to the Rule of Law by the undersigned individuals. The prosecuting attorneys sworn in were Erin Bates, John Brumfield, Erin Dickerson, Frances Ehima, Griffin Halvorson, Arash Jafary, Amy Price, and Marcus Royal.
