Library Pass Program with Chairman

Cobb Public Library's digital and print resources are accessible to the county’s more than 120,000 students thanks to an initiative called Library PASS – Public Library Access for Student Success. Last week, Chairman Mike Boyce was joined by Marietta City Schools Superintendent Grant Rivera and Cobb Schools Superintendent Chris Ragsdale to sign an MOU extending the program for two more school years.

This partnership among the library system and the two school districts represents one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States to expand the reach of public library resources. Students who attend a Marietta city school or a Cobb County public school already have a Library PASS account. Their student ID numbers works like library card numbers. Students can access databases 24/7 to find great books to read, download or stream. Or visit any of our libraries to use the Internet, print or check out a book to read. There is even a growing collection of apps to download to mobile devices. For more information, visit the Library PASS page.
