Notice of public hearings on 2018 millage and FY2019 budget

The Board of Commissioners will hold three public hearings on the county’s 2018 millage and proposed FY2019 budget. They will be held at 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 10, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 17, and 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 25. All three hearings will be held in the BOC Room on the second floor of 100 Cherokee St., Marietta. The July 10 and 25 hearings will be held as part of the BOC's regular monthly meetings.

At the 1:30 p.m. work session on Monday, July 9, Chairman Mike Boyce will present to the Board of Commissioners a Fiscal Year 2019 budget he says will start the journey to restoring services cut during the recession and maintain the county's triple AAA rating. You have the chance to share your thoughts and input on the county's budget at the final town hall meeting 7 p.m., Monday, July 9. It will be held at Sewell Mill Library, 2051 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta.
