Operation Gratitude collection drive: Help those who serve by donating

December 27, 2018

Join Vinings Library staff and patrons for a fun and impactful Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. service project by donating items for Operation Gratitude. This organization sends care packages to deployed troops, new recruits, veterans, first responders and wounded heroes and their caregivers. Donation drop off boxes will be available in Vinings Library through Jan. 19. Donations will be mailed to Operation Gratitude on Jan. 22.

The mission of Operation Gratitude is to lift spirits and meet the evolving needs of our U.S. military and first responder communities while providing volunteer opportunities for Americans to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation. Each care package contains snacks, hygiene products, entertainment and handmade items, as well as personal letters of support.

Vinings Library is located at 4290 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta. For more information, including a list of items accepted for the Operation Gratitude collection drive, visit the Vinings Library page or call 770-801-5330.
