Cobb District Attorney to address community initiatives in Feb. 6 town hall meeting

(Marietta, GA –Jan. 29, 2024) Cobb County District Attorney Flynn D. Broady, Jr. will host a town hall meeting 7 p.m., Feb. 6, in Austell to discuss enhancing community safety and supporting victims within Cobb County.
 
The event will take place at Destiny World Church, 7400 Factory Shoals Road, Austell.
 
During the town hall, Broady will talk about the Cobb Family Advocacy Center, and its recent grand opening in December. The center serves as a collaborative space for partner agencies addressing family-related issues and providing support. Broady will also highlight the Victim Witness program, emphasizing the office's commitment to guiding victims through the criminal justice process and assisting them in securing restitution.
 
The town hall will explore alternative case resolution strategies, including pretrial diversion programs and accountability courts for drug, mental health, veterans, and parental accountability. Broady will also discuss the Opioid Fatality Project, an initiative aimed at addressing the opioid crisis in Cobb.
