Cobb Libraries Celebrate Navratri

Saturday, 9/07/2024 - Saturday, 9/07/2024
02:00pm - 04:00pm

Join Us for Cobb Libraries' First-Ever Navratri Celebration! 🎉 We're bringing the vibrant spirit of India to Cobb County with Navratri, a festival that celebrates the triumph of good over evil. This year, on September 7 and September 21, we're spotlighting two unique traditions that showcase the diversity of this cultural celebration: At North Cobb Library: Dive into the enchanting world of Golu—the Festival of Dolls! Explore a stunning doll display, embark on a scavenger hunt, get creative with crafts, and enjoy bilingual storytime. It's a whimsical experience for all ages! At Vinings Library: Dance your heart out with Dandiya, a lively folk dance! Enjoy an energetic performance, join in on the fun, and participate in crafts and a scavenger hunt. Perfect for the whole family! Whether you're familiar with Navratri or new to it, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, celebrate, and enjoy. All are welcome to this colorful and joyful cultural event—don’t miss out! ✨
