CAREing Paws: Read to Koda

Monday, 8/05/2024 - Monday, 8/05/2024
03:30pm - 04:30pm

Sign up to read to Koda, our new certified therapy dog at South Cobb Regional Library! Koda and her handler Cathy are with the local CAREing Paws, Inc Therapy Dog organization. They are a part of a network of compassionate individuals who are willing to share their special animals in order to bring joy and happiness and reading to others! Their mission is to enrich the lives of others by embracing the power of the human-animal bond.

This program is a great opportunity for your child to build their confidence and  reading skill by reading out loud to a certified CAREing Paws dog. Bring your own book from home, or pick one out when you arrive.

Spaces are limited, so be sure to register by coming in-person to the Children’s Desk and speaking with a librarian or by calling 678-398-5834.The sessions run in 15 minute intervals so it is very important to arrive on time and ready to read.

Must be an independent reader.

For children in 1st grade and up.
