Members of The Cobb County Police Department’s Motors Unit were involved in a traffic crash on Kennesaw Due West Rd in Kennesaw, Ga.

Though it appears ice in the roadway was the cause of this crash, any inquiries regarding the crash investigation itself should be directed to the Georgia State Patrol (the agency handling the crash investigation).

As there have been numerous requests for information regarding the status of the officers involved, all three injured motor officers are home recovering. Officers Bullis (5+ year officer) and Kynard (17+ year officer) received relatively minor injuries (scrapes, bumps, and bruises) and were home following a brief hospital visit. Sergeant Garrett (18+ year officer) was far more seriously injured, suffering multiple fractures. Though he is home now, he will require far more medical intervention.
