BIRTHDAY PARTIES

West Cobb Aquatic Center books the party room Fridays and Saturdays for use for 90 minutes.  The fee is $50 for residents and $75 for non-residents. To book, please contact the facility at 770-222-6700.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Classes

Cobb Aquatics offers a program to train participants to be safe and effective professional lifeguards. The ARC Lifeguard Training Program is offered at all the Cobb aquatic centers.

INSTRUCTIONAL CLASS PROGRAMS
These classes will utilize lanes 5-8, the wading area, and the dive well from 9:00am through 2:00pm, 6:00pm through 9:00pm, Monday—Thursday. On Saturdays these same areas will be utilized from 9:00am through 2:00pm.

Aquarobics at West Cobb Aquatic Center

Are you looking for a fun way to get into shape, while using the qualities of water? Buoyancy enables one to do aerobic exercise with minimum strain. Resistance of the water helps tone muscles and quickly build endurance. Movement of the joints is greatly improved in the water, making aquarobics an excellent program for those with arthritis, back problems or other medical conditions.

Monday - Friday 9:00am Aerobics (Shallow)
Saturday 9:15am Aerobics (Shallow)
Mon/Wed/Friday 10:00am Low Intensity Aerobics (Shallow)
Monday/Wednesday/Friday 11:10am Low Intensity Aerobics (Shallow)
Tuesday/Thursday 6:00pm Aerobics (Deep)*
Monday/Wednesday 7:00pm Aerobics (Shallow)
Class duration: 50 minutes. Participant may enter 10 minutes prior to class only and exit 10 minutes after class. *Participants bring own flotation if needed.

 

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


Shallow water workout - Low impact, mid to high intensity to get blood flowing. A good aerobic workout with muscle toning.
Deep water workout - Enjoy a deep water workout that has no impact on the joints, yet high intensity to burn calories...very cardiovascular...add a little body sculpting and you have a total body workout.
Low Intensity Workout - Low impact, low intensity class with emphasis on building core body strength and balance.

Fees
Adults - $4.50 per class for residents  /  $6.75 per class for non-residents
Seniors - $2.00 per class  /  $3.00 per class for non-residents
