Sweetwater offers space for all USTA and ALTA teams that are seeking a home. Many participants in the various singles and doubles leagues like to call Sweetwater their home as well. Please click on “Tennis Programs” on the right side of this page and scroll down to league play for links to the various tennis associations that offer leagues.
Spring Tennis Classes
Registration begins February 1st
Classes begin the week of February 26th and April 16th
Online registration available for tennis classes.
Classes meet 1 hour per week (1/2 hour for tots classes) for 6 weeks.
Cost: $72 ($108 for non-residents)
Tots Classes: $36 ($54 for non-residents)

Looking for a Team?
Players looking to join an ALTA or USTA team can fill out a general information form (link below) to be placed on a contact list. Teams are formed every season.

MOM’S MORNING OUT
IMPACT YOUTH TENNIS, based at Sweetwater Tennis Center is offering an opportunity for Mom's Morning Out, where moms can drop their child at the tennis center and do errands or just enjoy quiet time.
- Children can be dropped off as early as 9am and must be picked up by 12pm on Tuesday mornings.
- Children will have on court tennis instruction by a certified professional.
- Refreshments will be provided.
- Entertainment includes age appropriate DVD, hobby time, games and other activities.
- Fee for the 3 hours is $20 per child
Reservations are required and there is a minimum of 4 necessary to provide the program.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT
Impact youth tennis based at Sweetwater Tennis Center is offering an opportunity for parents to enjoy a night out while the children are being taught tennis.
- Children can be dropped off as early as 6PM and must be picked up by 10PM on Friday nights
- Children will have on court instruction by a certified professional
- Pizza and/or other refreshments will be provided
- Entertainment included age appropriate DVD, hobby time, games, and other special functions
- Cost for the 4 hours is $25 per child
Reservations are required and there is a minimum of 4 participants necessary to provide the service. Impact youth tennis owner and coach, Mark Spackman will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

Round Robin Socials
Come join in for fun and friendship at our Round Robin Social. We offer mixed doubles play and all levels of ability are invited to participate. You do not need to bring a partner - players are mixed and matched. Tennis balls are provided and this social event will be held every Friday night at 7:00pm.

Drills, Skills and Thrills (DST)
Sweetwater Tennis Center and Head Pro Eddie Gomez offers DST sessions for adults twice weekly. Each session is a high spirited tennis workout that includes challenging games.

Manager – Charlie McCoy
Charlie came to Sweetwater Tennis Center after being the assistant manager at the Harrison Tennis Center for the past 3 years.
He is a certified professional through the Professional Tennis Registry where he has a level of Professional. He is a member of the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and is past Executive Director. He is active with the various tennis organizations such as ALTA and USTA as well. He retired from Bellsouth in 2002 after a career of 36 years and brings his management experience and tennis background with him to his position as Manager of Sweetwater Tennis Center. Charlie was selected by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association as “ Tennis Director of the year” in 2016.
Head Professional – Eddie Gomez
Eddie is a certified professional through the Professional Tennis Registry and the United States Professional Tennis Association where he has a P-2 professional level.
He formerly was the head pro at the Legacy Park Tennis Center and has worked with many other tennis centers. He is a certified stringer and is a member of the United Racquet States Stringers Association. Also, he is a member of the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and was named 2007 GPTA Head Professional of the Year. His company name is Top Notch Tennis.

Court Reservation Form - use this form to request a site as your courts for your league team for the upcoming season.
Rules and Regulations - rules and policies for all teams participating at a Cobb County park tennis facility. All team members are required to be aware and abide by the rules.
Team Practice Request Form - for teams requesting a regular weekly time for team practice. Fees must be paid when submitting the form. Check with facility manager for availability.
