Tobacco litter impacts everyone.  Keep America Beautiful has noted that 38% of all roadside litter is cigarette butts. Did you know that when cigarette butts come in contact with rain water, that water becomes polluted, a sort-of tobacco tea? This can create a toxic environment in our streams for fish and other wildlife.
Educate others who use tobacco products, or if you yourself use them, to use an ashtray and dispose of the waste in a trash receptacle. It will help make a healthier environment for all, both humans and wildlife.
