Fatality Crash Investigation (10/29/13 @ 2257 hours in Zone 2) The Cobb County Police Department’s S.T.E.P. (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) Unit is investigating a fatality crash, which occurred on Riverside Parkway in Austell, Georgia.

According to investigators the driver of a gold 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was northbound on Riverside Parkway at a speed well above the posted speed limit when he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a bicyclist who was on the western shoulder of the roadway.  The vehicle continued northbound, leaving the roadway where it then struck a tree causing the vehicle to overturn and come to a final rest in the parking lot of 270 Riverside Parkway.  

The bicyclist has been identified as 43 year old Antonio Walker of Atlanta, Georgia.  Mr. Walker was transported by ground ambulance to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was being treated for non- life threatening injuries he received in the collision.

The driver of the 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo has been identified as 31 year old Therman Kilcrease of Austell, Georgia.  Mr. Kilcrease was transported by ground ambulance to Atlanta Medical Center where he was treated for injuries he received in the collision.  

A passenger in the vehicle identified as 52 year old Ollie Regina Jones of Austell, Georgia succumbed to the injuries she sustained in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This collision remains under investigation and charges are expected to be filed.
