Privet Pulls are a fun and easy way for community members to participate in a service project without making an ongoing commitment. Organized throughout the year, these projects rotate across the county and allow those seeking volunteer service to give a couple hours of time helping with remove a non-native invasive species while learning about watersheds and pollution prevention. A non-native, invasive species is any organism that is not native to an ecosystem, reproduces quickly and spreads aggressively, and causes harm.
Help restore habitat and native plant species by organizing a privet pull in your area. The Cobb County Water System will support the event, provide information about identifying privet and how to remove it, and supply tools and gloves. We can also help determine a location for the event. Complete a Privet Pull Project Proposal to request assistance.
