Cobb County Government


Due to potentially inclement weather, Cobb County Government offices, courts and facilities — including libraries and senior centers — will delay opening until 10 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 17.

PLEASE NOTE: CobbLinc is delaying the start of all bus service until 10:00 am. Xpress Services are suspended and SRTA offices closed.

Chairman Mike Boyce’s town hall scheduled for 9:30-10:30 a.m. at North Cobb Senior Center will still take place.


Cobb County’s Largest Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 23, at Jim Miller Park in Marietta. The free event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. The 2013 Hunt will feature children’s art activities, live entertainment, inflatables and concessions. The Easter Bunny will be on hand and there will be contests, including the Mad Hatter Contest and Decorated Basket Contest.

There will be five egg hunts which will be broken down into age groups. In each hunt, there will be special prize eggs. The schedule of events follows:
10 a.m. - Park opens
10:30a.m. - 3 years and under hunt
11 a.m. - 4 and 5 years hunt
11:30a.m. - Special Population’s hunt
12 p.m. - 6 and 7 years hunt
12:30 p.m. - 8-10 years hunt
1 p.m. - Mad Hatter’s Contest / Easter Basket Contest
