Creating Community Awards

The Cobb Community Relations Council, along with the Cobb County Commissioners, annually celebrates and honors individuals and organizations who dedicate their time to promote inclusion within the Cobb Community via the "Creating Community Awards".

The purpose of the awards is not only to recognize good works in the county, but also to provide a model and inspiration for the rest of the Cobb community. Nominees may be an individual, team, organization or business that has made possible the inclusion of Cobb County’s diverse communities. Diversity could be identified as race/ethnicity, age/generational, religions, disabled, gender, etc.

An independent committee is formed to choose one recipient from each Commission District.

The deadline for nominations is February 15, 2016. Nominees from previous years may be re-nominated. Nominations should be emailed Nomination form provided below.

On March 15, 2016, the annual Creating Community Awards Dinner will be held to recognize and celebrate all of our nominees and award recipients.
