Public Information Open House: South Barrett Reliever

A public information open house (PIOH) for phase three of the South Barrett Reliever project will take place Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kennesaw State University Continuing Education Center at 3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, Georgia, 30144. Citizens are encouraged to attend to share comments and concerns. Representatives from the Cobb County Department of Transportation (CCDOT) and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be present to discuss the project and answer questions, but there will be no formal presentation.

Phase three of the four-phase South Barrett Reliever project proposes widening and extending Shiloh Valley Drive / Greers Chapel Drive from Barrett Lakes Parkway over Interstate 75 to a widened Roberts Court. This extension will create a continuous road south of Ernest Barrett Parkway.

An advance copy of the PIOH handout packet, which includes a detailed description of the project, a location map and comment card, is available online. Ten days after the PIOH, hard copies of project displays and plans will be available for review at the CCDOT office at 1890 County Services Parkway, Marietta, Georgia, 30008, as well as at the Town Center Community Improvement District office at 1701 Barrett Lakes Boulevard, Suite 200, Kennesaw, Georgia, 30144.

In addition to the PIOH, comments will be accepted on the GDOT public outreach website, by mail to the CCDOT office or via email to brian.loudermilk@cobbcounty.org through Oct. 27, 2016. Please see the handout packet for important submission instructions.
