I-285 WB Ramp to I-75 NB Weekend Closure

The two right lanes of the I-285 westbound ramp to I-75 northbound will be closed Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. (An additional closure may be required Monday, Nov. 21, 2016, from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, to complete the work.) The right lane from I-285 eastbound to I-75 northbound will be closed to allow traffic to shift over from the double lane closure. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to direct drivers.

These lane closures will allow for the removal of a beam from the Windy Ridge Parkway Bridge on the north side to prepare for girder installation the following week. The Windy Ridge Parkway Bridge project consists of the widening of the existing bridge over the I-75 and I-285 ramps to provide enhanced pedestrian accommodations and greenway space. Completion is expected in 2017.
