History of the Mystery #5310

Detective and crime-related stories are one of the most popular genres of fiction. This series explores the history of detective fiction, the authors who were a major influence on its development, and books and films in its ma-jor subgenres.
Sketching Your World: Intermediate #5307

For people having some drawing and watercolor experience or have been in the beginning Sketching Your World class. Focus will be on pen and watercolor sketching frequently in a sketch book. One half or more of our class time will be sketching out of the building at various locations. In the classroom we will cover various topics such as watercolor pallets, mixing watercolors, perspective, composition, and other topics. Supply list is availa-ble.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion, balance, and flexibility. Hand-held weights and bands are used for resistance; and a chair is used for stretching. Bring your own light weights.

This class is designed to introduce seniors to gentle yoga postures, simple stretches, breath work and conscious relaxation. Relax and quiet the mind, body and spirit while simultaneously energizing the body, improving mus-cle tone and stamina. All levels are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat.

Circuit training is a total body challenge that is designed to combine resistance training and low impact aerobics. You will strengthen your heart and cardiovascular system, increase muscular strength and endurance, and im-prove agility, balance and flexibility through various stations. The stations will provide you the opportunity to work at your own individual pace making the class suitable for anyone!

Sketching Your World: Beginner #5308

We will be exploring beginning sketching skills and materials. The goal is to help those new to sketching devel-op basic skills in sketching, using pen and watercolor, and to begin exploring their world through frequent sketching in a sketchbook. Supply list is available.  

Drums Alive: Golden Beats #5261

This class is designed to improve your cardiovascular fitness by using rhythmical drum patterns as they drive dynamic movements.  Additionally, it can help to improve hand/eye coordination, improve brain function and mental awareness, relieve stress and release endorphins.  Golden Beats can be done seated or standing and is appropriate for all levels.  So if you want to improve your overall health, feel energized, centered, relaxed and have fun doing so, this is the class for you!

Yoga for Joint Health #5403

This gentle class introduces basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and relaxation methods at a slower pace in a safe environment.
