Qigong #1418

Qigong, pronounced “chee-gung”, translates from Chinese to “energy cultivation”.  It is an an-cient system of postures, exercises, breathing techniques and meditations designed to enhance the body’s qi, or life energy responsible for health and vitality.  Qigong can increase energy, reduce stress and aid in disease prevention and longevity.

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art practiced for its defense training and health benefits.  In the west, Tai Chi has become popular for its health benefits.  Tai Chi’s low stress movement and coordinated breathing can improve balance control, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and stress reduction.

Zumba is the high energy fitness program consisting of dance set to international music.  Zumba incorporates the choreography of hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, meringue and mambo with aerobic elements for a total body work out.

Move and Groove Line Dance #2095

Calling all active seniors to join in and MOVE your body for an energetic and fun session of basic beginner Line Dance.  This activity offers an instructor led, ability paced workout.  Your line dancing experience will be enhanced by varying music genres, including Pop, RnB, Jazz, Latin, Neo-Soul, and African beats.  As the title implies, the focus is to MOVE, so come and get your groove on!

Exercise for People with Balance Issues #2636

Circuit Training #1471

Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina which will help to reduce body fat levels and increase flexibility to prevent injury.  Circuit training will improve self-esteem, emotional fitness and integrated functional movement.  The circuit training comprises strength exercises and cardio exercises completed one after another.  Each exercise is performed for a set time before moving on to the next exercise, which are separated by a short rest period and a timed cardio segment.
