Cobb County Government

Our History

Since its creation in 1972, Cobb Senior Services has enhanced the quality of life for thousands of Cobb County senior citizens through nutrition, education and recreation activities and programs.

A department of Cobb County Government, Senior Services is staffed by 43 full-time and 38 part-time employees, as well as 800 community volunteers. Funding comes through federal grants as well as state and county government funds.

With its progressive, conservatively managed programs, Cobb Senior Services continues to keep pace with the steady growth of our senior population, part of the “graying of America.” As a result, many of our programs are copied throughout the state and nation.
