The Superior Court of Cobb County offers a Summer Internship Academy for college-aged and first year law school students who are interested in a law related career.
This nine-week program offers participants a chance to learn about the operations of the judiciary, and provides a deeper understanding of various court programs including:

|Circuit Defender||Drug Lab|
|Law Library||Juvenile Court|
Interns receive lectures on various legal subjects, as well as practical experience within the court system. Various field trip opportunities are offered throughout the program, affording participants a broader understanding of the multi-faceted operations within the legal system. A visit to the Georgia Supreme Court accompanied by our Chief Judge, a tour of the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, and a tour of the GBI Lab are among some of the opportunities afforded to participants.
The Superior Court of Cobb County realizes the value of education and the importance of teaching opportunities for our up-and-coming legal professionals, and strives to ensure the Summer Internship Academy is of the highest educational benefit to those whom are selected to participate.
In order to be considered for the Academy, applicants must be college-aged or first year law students, and able to commit to the nine-week program in its entirety. The program is a non-paid internship. Applicants must be able to work the hours of 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
