Two-month Hembree Road closure begins May 24

Construction for the Pope High School roundabout will require the closure of Hembree Road to vehicular and pedestrian through traffic beginning at 6 p.m. May 24, 2017. The closure will be in place for nearly two months, through July 17. Work hours will likely extend into evenings and weekends, starting the first night of closure.

During this period, there will be no vehicular or pedestrian access to Pope High School from the southwest from Post Oak Tritt Road. Access will be maintained to the school from the northeast (Dorset Subdivision side) only. At times, access will be restricted to one lane for each direction, with flaggers. Motorists should expect delays, plan to detour, and travel patiently in the area.
