Learn about the eviction process and divorce at free workshops

Cobb County Legal Aid staff is hosting an "Eviction Clinic" on Wednesdays through Dec. 20, at Switzer Library, 266 Roswell St., Marietta. Participants will learn about the eviction process, including an overview of Georgia law, court procedures and other tips. The presentation will be followed by a chance for tenants who qualify for Legal Aid’s services to meet with attorneys for a short consultation, including how to file an answer, on a first come, first served basis. The clinics will be held:

  • Oct. 18 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 8 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 13 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 20 at 5:30 p.m.


Cobb County Legal Aid staff will also host the free legal presentation "Divorce, Custody and Child Support" 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 24, at South Cobb Regional Library, 805 Clay Road, Mableton. The presentation will be followed by individual consultations with legal aid attorneys.
