Girl Scout Brownie Troop 16917 recently donated a Little Free Library to Cobb County PARKS for all Kennesaw book lovers.
The new library, named Brownie Bot, is on the Art Station-Big Shanty property and open for anyone who wants to take or leave a book free of charge. The girls designed, painted, decorated and stocked the library for their spring service project. They hope the library will foster a love of reading to Kennesaw residents.
A ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony for the Little Free Library was held on May 2. Brownie Girl Scout Troop 16917, which includes 12 second-grade girls, dedicated a portion of their cookie sale proceeds and received donations from Lowe’s of West Marietta and Sherwin-Williams of Powder Springs to help fund the project.
