Windy Ridge Parkway westbound lanes to close Feb. 2

The westbound lanes of Windy Ridge Parkway over I-75 will be closed between Interstate North Parkway and Circle 75 Parkway Thursday, Feb. 2, through Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Crews will be pouring decks for the widened portion of the bridge on the north side. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to direct drivers. Motorists should follow the posted detour or take alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.

CobbLinc transitions to MARTA’s Silver Breeze Cards, offers discount to riders

The Cobb County Department of Transportation’s transit division, CobbLinc, will transition to the use of MARTA’s Silver Breeze Cards next month to offer increased security and convenience to riders. Beginning Feb. 1, 2017, CobbLinc commuters may take advantage of a month-long promotional offer to purchase a Silver Breeze Card for $1.00—a 50 percent discount. The price of the card will return to $2.00 after the promotion period ends Feb. 28.
