Public Information Open House: South Barrett Reliever

A public information open house (PIOH) for phase three of the South Barrett Reliever project will take place Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Kennesaw State University Continuing Education Center at 3333 Busbee Drive, Kennesaw, Georgia, 30144. Citizens are encouraged to attend to share comments and concerns. Representatives from the Cobb County Department of Transportation (CCDOT) and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will be present to discuss the project and answer questions, but there will be no formal presentation.

Rockwood Drive closure to begin Monday, Oct. 17

Rockwood Drive in Marietta, between Jamerson Road and Gray Rock Drive, will be closed to traffic Monday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Nov.14.

The existing 48-inch corrugated metal pipe on Rockwood Drive has failed, causing settlement in the roadway.  This project includes replacing the existing pipe with a 48-inch reinforced concrete pipe, constructing new headwalls and repaving the failure area.

Please use detour routes to avoid the closure location.
