Vision To Learn: Summertime is for Libraries

UPDATE: All appointment slots are full for the summertime 2022 Vision To Learn mobile clinics at Cobb County Public Library locations.

Cobb officials were told Monday morning that the more than 400 appointment slots were booked for children ages 5-18 to receive free exams and, if needed, free glasses from Vision To Learn. Since 2018, VTL has visited Cobb libraries during summer breaks to serve kids in need of vision care and glasses for school and life.

THANK YOU to all the families, schools and community organizations providing promotional support to raise awareness of both Vision To Learn at Cobb libraries and the critical community challenge of thousands of children in Cobb County and across Georgia still in need of vision care and glasses! We’re not done.

Summertime Vision To Learn mobile clinics are returning in June and July to Cobb County public libraries to provide eye exams and glasses – free of charge – for children. Registration is required and space is limited.

The Vision To Learn 2022 visits are the fifth summer break the national nonprofit has staged its mobile clinics at Cobb libraries for children ages 5-18. School systems across metro Atlanta – and “from Honolulu to Baltimore” – have partnered with Vision To Learn, including Marietta City Schools. Vision To Learn’s Georgia team was launched in 2017.

The upcoming summertime 2022 Vision To Learn library visits, all scheduled for 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, include:

The Vision To Learn visits are part of the Cobb County Public Library’s collaboration with Learn4Life, Metro Atlanta Regional Education Partnership to make the region a more equitable and prosperous community.
