Cobb Library Foundation’s Booked for the Evening Gala featuring Patti Callahan Henry is June 9
Cobb Library Foundation presents its 12th Annual Booked for the Evening Gala featuring special guest speaker author Patti Callahan Henry and honorary chair Gary Miller, CEO and president of Greystone Power, on Friday, June 9, 6:30 pm to 10 pm., at Atlanta Country Club, Marietta.
Patti Callahan Henry is the author of 17 New York Times and USA Today bestselling novels, including her new novel, The Secret Book of Flora Lea, which is set in Britain outside Oxford in the early 1940s.
She received The Christy Award Book of the Year honor, the Harper Lee Distinguished Writer of the Year and the Alabama Library Association Book of the Year for Becoming Mrs. Lewis. She is a co-creator and co-host of the online live web show and podcast Friends and Fiction.
The Secret Book of Flora Lea is a New York Times bestseller and is receiving positive reviews from her novelist peers.
"A world war and a fairy tale collide in the British countryside in 1940 - and Patti Callahan Henry is the perfect novelist to explore how the living are forever changed,” said bestselling author Chris Bohjalian (Midwives, Flight Attendant). “The Secret Book of Flora Lea is a treasure: moving, surprising, and deeply evocative of an England that every day walked the tightrope between heartbreak and hope.”
Atlanta Country Club is located at 500 Atlanta Country Club Dr., Marietta 30067, off Paper Mill Road.
