A Public Meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. to receive comments on the appropriation of interest income from the United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG) for Fiscal Year 2020.

Cobb County’s 2020 JAG program has accumulated a total of $989.45 in interest income. The County is recommending interest reallocation to liveSAFE Resources, Inc. JAG funds and any subsequent interest earned are considered program income and can only be allocated to subrecipients funded during the 2020 grant year.  Per JAG requirements, all 2020 grant funds and interest income must be expended by September 30, 2023 to close out the grant.

A 30-day Public Comment period will commence on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 and will conclude on Monday, July 17, 2023.
