Homicide Investigation (Nov.20,2018) **UPDATE**
UPDATE
27-year-old Cordale Jefferson is in custody after turning himself in this afternoon at Cobb County's Adult Detention Center.
ORIGINAL RELEASE
On Saturday, November 17, 2018 at approximately 6:22 p.m., uniform officers responded to a person shot call near the intersection of Austell Road and Pat Mell Road. Upon their arrival, officers located the gunshot victim lying on the ground near Austell Road. The victim, 25-year-old Jack Myles, was transported to Kennestone Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect in this shooting has been identified as 27-year-old Cordale Jefferson. An arrest warrant has been secured via the Cobb County Magistrate's Office charging Jefferson with Homicide - Murder and Aggravated Assault.
Video surveillance captured Jefferson just prior to the shooting. That image has been attached as well as his driver's license photo. Jefferson is described as a black male, approximately 5'5" in height, with a medium build. Jefferson has multiple tattoos including "BADAZZ" on his forehead, two tear drop tattoos under his left eye, and a money bag tattoo under his right eye.
At this time, Jefferson has not been arrested.
