Incident(s) Brief:

1.) An Arson Arrest Warrant was obtained on 12/31/2018. The Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services Fire Investigations Unit investigated a fire which occurred at 1492 Blair Bridge Road, Austell, Georgia.

It has been determined that on the evening of 12/27/2018, a fire was intentionally set at 1492 Blair Bridge Road at the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 32 office building. Surveillance video of the incident was obtained. The video footage showed Kristie Lynne Collins igniting available combustibles under the building’s portico in close proximity to the front of the building. She then placed a wooden chair, a door mat, purse, backpack, several items from her backpack, in addition to various items of clothing which she had removed on the developing fire. A passerby stopped and called 911. Upon arrival, CCFES personnel extinguished the fire and obtained Ms. Collins information before leaving the scene.

As a result of the investigation, Kristie Lynne Collins was charged with (1) count of Arson in the second degree (Felony).
