The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement (STEP) Unit is investigating a traffic collision that occurred on March 12, 2019 at 11:55 a.m. on Brownsville Road near Hill Road.

Per investigators, a brown 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling north on Brownsville road as a white 2014 Ram 3500 truck was traveling south on Brownsville Road. The Chevrolet Trailblazer crossed the double yellow line and entered the path of the Ram 3500 truck. The vehicles collided head-on in the southbound lane and both drivers were entrapped in their vehicles.

The driver of the Chevrolet Trailblazer, 40-year-old Winston Alvertis Al-Ali George of Powder Springs, was transported by air ambulance to Atlanta Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the Ram truck, 49-year-old Samuel K. Atcheson of Temple, was transported by ground ambulance to Kennestone Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
