Cobb County Police Interfaith Immersion Program

On April 26th and 27th members of the Cobb County Police Department participated in an interfaith immersion program which included visits to numerous houses of worship with in-depth discussion of cultures associated with the communities those religious groups serve. Following an initial orientation at the Cobb County Safety Village the public safety group visited multiple locations and engaged in open discussion with religious leaders at locations within the county: an Islamic Center, a Greek Orthodox Church, a Jewish Temple, a Catholic Church, and a Hindu Temple. All of the participating faith groups voiced their appreciation of our public safety professionals, and our participants learned much about the diverse communities we serve.
