Cobb County Receives High Performance Government Award
Cartegraph, a leader in high-performance government software and services, has recognized Cobb County as a winner of its 2018-2019 High Performance Government Awards. The prestigious honor highlights local government organizations that leverage modern operations management technology to solve problems, work smarter and improve their communities.
Cobb County’s Department of Transportation team was recognized for their dedication to optimizing business processes, maximizing performance and providing exemplary service.
"Our Information Services department really enjoys the partnership we have with DOT in rolling out technology that has a real impact on the constituents," said Director, Information Services, Sharon Stanley. This is another example of Cobb DOT being one of our Department leaders in digital transformation and our journey to becoming a SMART Community.
The DOT is using Cartegraph automations to manage contracts, inspections, budgets and high-priority activities, and has streamlined processes with activity-based workflows. With ArcGIS-integrated snow removal routes and commute updates via Waze, Cobb County DOT is sharing real-time info with their residents.
For more than 16 years, CCDOT has used Cartegraph software to manage its work and assets efficiently. The department transitioned to the company’s current operations management system (OMS) in 2016.
