The Cobb County Police Department Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is assisting the Powder Springs Police Department in investigating a serious injury vehicle collision that occurred in on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 4:40 p.m. near 3630 Hopkins Road.

Per investigators, a 2006 Cadillac CTS was traveling northbound on Hopkins Road. The vehicle left the west side of the roadway and struck a tree near 3630 Hopkins Road.

The driver of the Cadillac CTS was identified as 17-year-old Alexis Mabry. She was transported to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger was identified as 21-year-old Maimouna Konte. She was transported to Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries.
