Funding Recommendation for the 2017 Justice Assistance Grant Program Interest
A Virtual Public Meeting will be held to receive comments on the appropriation of interest income from the United States Department of Justice Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program (JAG) for Fiscal Year 2017.
Cobb County’s 2017 JAG program has accumulated a total of $444.69 in interest income. The County is recommending interest reallocation to the Cobb County District Attorney's Office. JAG funds and any subsequent interest earned are considered program income and can only be allocated to subrecipients funded during the specific grant year. Per JAG requirements, all 2017 grant funds and interest income must be expended by September 30, 2020 to close out the grant.
See the 2017 JAG Program Interest Public Notice. A 10-day Public Comment period will commence on Friday, August 21, 2020 and will conclude on Friday, September 4, 2020.
