The Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Roswell Road at Willeo Rill Road on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 10:52 a.m. 

According to investigators, a tan 2019 Lincoln Nautilus was traveling south on Willeo Rill Road and was preparing to turn left onto Roswell Road as a white 2019 Ford F150 was traveling west on Roswell Road approaching Willeo Rill Road in the left lane. The Lincoln Nautilus initiated its left turn and entered the path of the Ford F150. The front of the Ford F150 collided with the left side of the Lincoln Nautilus. The Lincoln Nautilus was redirected west as it rotated in a clockwise direction and came to a final uncontrolled rest on the raised center median. The Ford F150 was redirected southwest and came to a final uncontrolled rest on the south shoulder of Roswell Road.

The driver of the Lincoln Nautilus, 76-year-old Kathleen Parodi of Woodstock, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Ford F150, 31-year-old Ronald Lacey of McDonough, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with minor injuries.
