Fatal Traffic Collision

The Cobb County Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred on Shallowford Road near Lassiter Road on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at 11:49 a.m. 

According to investigators, a beige 2008 Kia Optima and a black 2017 GMC Yukon were traveling east on Shallowford Road, passing Lassiter Road, while a white 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling west on Shallowford Road approaching Lassiter Road. The Chevrolet driver failed to maintain a single lane of travel and crossed into the eastbound lanes. The front of the Chevrolet collided with the driver's side of the Kia. The Kia was then redirected south and collided with the GMC. 

The driver of the Kia Optima, 47-year-old Andrew M. Halloran of Roswell, was fatally injured and pronounced deceased on the scene. His next of kin has been notified.

The driver of the GMC Yukon, 46-year-old Jennifer P. Mire of Marietta, did not require medical attention on scene. 

The driver of the Chevrolet Cruze, 24-year-old Danielle Erickson of Acworth, did not require medical attention on scene.
