Serious Injury Collision

The Cobb County Police Department's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a serious injury collision that occurred on Austell Road at Knox Drive on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 9:00 p.m.

According to investigators, a blue and silver 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle was traveling south on Austell Road. The operator failed to maintain a single lane of travel and collided with the concrete median at Knox Drive. The motorcycle overturned, and the operator was ejected.  

The operator of the Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle, 35-year-old Jesse B. Hamilton of Marietta, was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
