HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS - AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN PROGRAM

The American Rescue Plan (ARP) provides $5 billion to assist individuals or households who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable populations, by providing housing, rental assistance, supportive services, and non-congregate shelter, to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country. These grant funds will be administered through HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME). The HOME-ARP allocations were announced on April 8, 2021.  Cobb was allocated $5,551,090 in FY2021 HOME ARP funding.

The Cobb County CDBG Program Office is accepting applications for the HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) Program commencing on Thursday, June 3, 2021 through Friday, July 9 , 2021.  A virtual application workshop will be held to provide interested nonprofit organizations with information on the grant application process.

HOME-ARP Eligible Activities

• Production or Preservation of Affordable Housing
• Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA)
• Supportive Services
• Purchase and Development of Non-Congregate Shelter

HOME-ARP Eligible Populations

• Homeless
• At-risk of homelessness
• Fleeing, or attempting to flee, domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, or human trafficking
• In other populations where providing supportive services or assistance would prevent the family’s homelessness or would serve those with the greatest risk of housing instability
• Veterans and families that include a veteran family member that meet one of the preceding criteria.
