Open Grant Application Cycle: COBB COUNTY FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FOOD ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATION CYCLE
On June 22,2021, the Cobb County Board of Commissioners (BOC) authorized $1,500,000.00 in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding to support nonprofits to expand ongoing efforts to provide food assistance for those County residents who are in need due to the ongoing national health crisis.
Cobb County is requesting proposals from a wide range of non-profit organizations to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to provide food until 5:00 P.M. on Monday, July 12, 2021.
The Food Assistance Program is a reimbursable grant. Funding will be provided to grant recipients after expenses have been incurred by the agency and receipts submitted for eligible projects. All funds must be expended before December 31, 2021.
Eligible activities for the Emergency Food Program include the following:
- Purchase of Food Vouchers (including Grocery & Restaurant Vouchers)
- Purchase of Food from Food Banks/Food Pantries
- Food Distribution
- Served Meals (Direct Client Benefit)
- Food Boxes (Direct Client Benefit)
- Assistance to Other Nonprofits (at no cost to nonprofits)
