Active Shooter Training

The Cobb County Police Department will have department-wide active shooter training each day beginning Monday, October 21st through Tuesday, October 29th. This year’s training will be conducted at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield National Park. Training will begin at 3 p.m. each day and end by 11 p.m.

This is another unique large-scale training experience, and we are grateful for the partnership with Cobb County Fire and Emergency Services as well the U.S. Parks Service for this year’s training event.

The first portion of the training day will be in the area of Stilesboro Road and Barrett Parkway. Residents and passersby will see an increase in law enforcement and fire personnel and equipment. We will start each day at Riverstone Church located at 2005 Stilesboro Road, Kennesaw GA, 30152.

Portions of the first half of the training day will be open to media. Contact the Public Information Office to advise if you will be attending on any of the listed dates. Training begins promptly at 3 p.m. each day.
