Additional Armed Bank Robbery & Update

On January 29, 2020 at approximately 9:24 a.m. Cobb County Police officers responded to a bank robbery at Regions Bank located at 1593 Mulkey Road in Precinct Two. The suspect entered the bank, armed with a handgun, demanding money. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene in a Silver Kia Optima. A short pursuit began and led to officers apprehending the suspect without incident.

The suspect, identified as 54-year-old Charles Travick, was placed under arrest. It was determined that he was the suspect from the bank robbery at BB&T bank (3620 Tramore Point) on January 27, 2020.

The investigation for both bank robberies has been turned over to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

Armed Bank Robbery

Today at approximately 9:09 a.m. Cobb County Police officers responded to a bank robbery at BB&T Bank located at 3620 Tramore Point in Austell. The suspect had already fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival.

According to investigators, the suspect is described as a black male wearing a black hat, black jacket, light colored blue jeans, tennis shoes, and a plaid shirt. He entered the bank armed with a handgun, demanded (and received an undisclosed amount of) money, and fled the scene in a silver sedan.
