On February 4, 2021 at approximately 5:50 p.m. Cobb County Police responded to an armed robbery at 953 Woodward Circle in Mableton, GA. Officers later located the suspect vehicle and followed it onto I-20 and into the City of Atlanta. The vehicle crashed into an unoccupied vehicle on the right shoulder of the interstate, and the three males in the suspect vehicle then fled on foot. One suspect was struck by a vehicle and killed on a side street in Atlanta. His identity will be released by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.

A second suspect, Adhay Nelson-George, was taken into custody by Cobb Officers and charged with Armed Robbery.

A third suspect remains unidentified and at large.

The initial armed robbery is being investigated by Cobb County Police, while the traffic incidents (crash and fatal pedestrian collision) are the jurisdiction of Atlanta Police.
