Cobb County Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred eastbound on I-285, west of Powers Ferry Road on Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 12:02 a.m.

According to investigators, a black Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle was traveling east on I-285, approaching the Powers Ferry Road underpass. For unknown reasons, the Harley Davidson Street Glide made a hard brake application, locking the rear wheel. The Harley Davidson continued east as it fell on its left side on I-285.

The driver of the Harley Davidson Street Glide motorcycle was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Next of kin has not been notified.
